What can we do to put the brakes on the pandemic of childhood obesity?
Should we ban video games? Sue fast food restaurants? Turn off our televisions?
No. No. No.
Should we make video games that require exercise? Eat less BigMacs? Make outside games that are fun?
Sure. Probably. Absolutely.
Recently I saw a commercial for these kid friendly RC Helicopters. They look like they could be a blast. Maybe you have seen the ads. These mini helis have laser guns that let you shoot down your buddy's helicopter causing it to spin out of control. I pretty much made up my mind that I needed to get a pair of these for me and my kid but decided to read some reviews first. Disappointment. Reviews say they suck at high altitudes (like where I live), that they are close to impossible to fly, and that the battery life is less than 5 minutes. Come on, that is LAME! Somebody needs to work out the kinks; make the battery life at least an hour and forget laser guns, let me shoot airsoft pellets from my mini-Apache.

And that is this weeks answer on how to solve the problem of childhood obesity.
**Eric told me to watch Rob & Big about these RC helis. Took a little while to find it but here it is if you want to watch. Pretty funny stuff. Link to episode.

You need to watch the Rob and Big where they buy like 20 of those helicopters and just destroy every one of them trying to learn how to fly them.
What is the Rob and Big?
I think everyone should live on farm like back in pioneer days. How often did you hear about guys that after losing 500 lbs still needing a forklift to get them outta there house for an afternoon jaunt.
Ross got a helicopter like that for Chirstmas one year. He took it apart to use the motor for something else, I can't even remember what for. There went fifty bucks.
That kid isn't even in the category of fat. His arms don't even look real. We saw a little kid (I am not sure if it was a boy or a girl) that was probably 2 but weighed the same as me at Del Taco a while back. It made me rethink our restaurant of choice.
Oh and I told Ross to look at your derby post like you requested, so hopefully he will think of something :)
