One step closer to becoming a Ninja

Have you been to a toy store lately? If you have not, you should go. Those of you without kids will be shocked at how different toys have become since Santa was shopping at KB Toys. Among the robots and RC planes, gaming consoles that turn plastic into rock bands, and cars and trucks that require no human "vroom," there is an item that is relatively new to the shelf.

Behold... Night Vision Goggles.

facial hair not included

For under $80, you can own a legitimate Sam Fisher* accessory. According to the reviews you can be in the inky blackness of your bathroom and see EVERYTHING. The image of what you look at is displayed on a small LCD screen that is displayed inside the goggles. It is like having a flashlight that nobody else can see.

I approached my wife, expressing the importance of why I must own this awesome piece of technology but she refused my proposal wanting to know what in the world I would use them for.
My reply: "Everything"

*Sam Fisher is a famous Navy Seal Team 3 and a member of Delta Force. Sam is a current member of the Third Echelon, a division of the National Security Agency.**

**Okay, I'll admit it, Sam Fisher is the main character in one of my favorite video games Splinter Cell.

I'm deeply disappointed in the wife. If you had stuck with Ryan, I'm sure he would have let you buy them.

Night vision goggles are cool, but I'm still not over the ninja incident of 2004 where I woke up to ninja D-Rock's butt in my face and ninja Norm doing who knows what to Nate. I'd let Nate have them as long as D-Rock and Norm couldn't borrow them while living within a reasonable driving distance.

Splinter cell is the only xbox game I have ever played extensively thanks to the Hoermans...But I love it.

OMG, OMG, OMFG!!!!!!!!! Nate, i'm going to make this comment short because i have to get my ass to toys r us right now and get those goggles, and i strongly recommend you do too. don't you remember how night vision goggles made our list of must haves? They were right below scuba gear and right above underwater metal detectors.

I'm pretty sure that Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs (made in 1991) had night vision goggles, although I'm sure there wasn't an LCD screen on them. But they're still way cool and I've always wanted some ever since I watched that movie. ;)

Ross loves Splinter Cell and Ninja's, he probably would want those goggles too... what is with you two? Do Brynn and I need to start a support group for husbands who wants to by childrens games? I think toys like the ones you mentioned are destroying childrens imaginations. I want to hear Anna make the vroom noise on her own dang it! Oh wait...she does. Good times.
